As well as working as a therapist with clients, I also worked as a counselling tutor for 4 years, supporting students to becoming fully qualified therapists.

I left that role in January 2023, and since that time I have been itching to put everything I have learned about the approach into some kind of format that I can offer to people. After a period of putting materials together and recording videos, I published the full online course ‘A Guided Tour of Person-Centred Counselling & Psychotherapy’ onto Udemy in April 2024. Since being online, over 500 students have enrolled on the course and the reviews have been very positive.

My aim with the course is for it to be accessible enough for anyone curious to enjoy it – you don’t need a therapy qualification or any particular training before you can engage with it. At same time though, I have wanted to create something comprehensive enough for trainee therapists & qualified therapists alike to get a lot out of it. The challenge of creating something both accessible and comprehensive has maintained my interest in the project!
