Before qualifying as a therapist I completed my primary school PGCE and worked as a primary school teacher. Since qualifying, I have worked in primary schools as a children’s play therapist and as a general source of mental health support for both staff and parents in the school.

Since qualifying I have also worked as a counselling teacher at a local further education college, training students to become qualified counsellors. I supported over 200 students during my time as a teacher, with many of them completing their diploma and working as qualified therapists themselves.

I have included this page to outline some of my experience in education, both in schools working therapeutically with children, and in training therapists, and just to say that I am open roles like this again, so feel free if you would like to talk to me about this.
